Tiki refers to the human form and are best known as Māori adornment in the form or Hei tiki (pendants in human form). They are often heirlooms that embody the wearer’s lineage. Some people make a connection with Tiki, the first man, although many tiki are female. Others suggest that the tiki represents Hine-i-te-iwaiwa (the early ancestor associated with fertility) or the unborn child.

Featuring iconic images of New Zealand flora and fauna, these tea towels from Cecily are the perfect gift for a special friend either on its own or wrapped around a bottle of wine. They are light-weight making them the perfect souvenir to take home or for posting to friends and family overseas.

Ethically made. Designed and printed in NZ using biodegradable inks and paper packaging.

Size: 750 x 510mm
