Shipping & Returns


Returns Policy:

All purchases from this site are covered by the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 which guarantees that any goods purchased for personal use may be returned, if they are considered faulty, for repair, replacement or refund of purchase price, within a reasonable period of time as defined by the Act. Any disputes between the Customer and wonder room will be arbitrated by the New Zealand courts.

Under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act, A reasonable time to make a claim is the time in which you would normally expect the fault to become noticeable. Due to the nature of Wonder Room’s products we feel a consumer should quickly notice a fault with their order, so we deem 48 hours after receiving goods to be a reasonable timeframe. Some products may not be so easily assesed i.e. an electronic item failing, so due to this fact please advise us of faults at any time and we can assess the situation.

If Your Purchase Arrives Damaged Or Faulty:

If this happens please email us via our Contact Us page to let us know of the fault on the product within 48 hours of receiving it, ideally attaching a picture of any damage. If you suspect your product has been damaged during delivery please do not throw away the parcel or cover in which the product came as (courier) will need to inspect it. Before signing for the delivery, please check for damage whilst in the presence of the postal or courier worker as insurance claims are voided after signing for the goods. We will organize the return of the product for inspection and will endeavour to send you a replacement as soon as possible, free of charge. If the product is out of stock, we will offer a credit note or a full refund including postage costs.

If You Receive The Wrong Product:

If this happens please email us via our Contact Us page and accept our apologies. We will organise a replacement as soon as possible and pay for the return shipping costs.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper. However, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If You Change Your Mind, Have Ordered The Wrong Size Or Colour:

Please email us via our Contact Us page with your reason for return prior to sending your product back so we can organise an exchange. Provided that the product has been returned in unused, saleable condition with its original packaging, we will offer an exchange or credit note. We will not offer a refund, so please choose carefully. Please note that the cost of returning the product and despatching a replacement will be paid for by the customer.


Fastway is our preferred courier company, and can ship to any physical address in New Zealand. We charge a flat rate of $7.50NZ for delivery.

All orders over $100 qualify for free shipping nationwide (New Zealand only).

Unfortunately, we will not send purchases via normal post; even if the customer accepts the risk. Wonder room is all for peace of mind shopping.

Estimated Time Frame For Purchase Arrival (New Zealand):

Orders are subject to payment verification and acceptance before they are shipped. Provided your product is in stock, we will ship it within 48 hours of receiving payment unless it's the weekend where we will ship it the following Monday. You can expect to receive your purchase up to three business days after shipping confirmation. You can then check the status of your parcel through our couriers’ tracking system. Please note that we can only ship to physical addresses. Our checkout system will not accept a PO Box.

We try our best to keep our online store up to date, however, if your product has sold out by the time we receive your order, we will let you know at once via the email address you gave us, and we can then discuss backorder options or arrange a refund.

In Stock With Supplier:

In order to provide a large and up to date selection of products, products on this site with the notice ‘In Stock With Supplier’ are ‘special order’, meaning once you place an order from our site we will then place that order with our supplier. Your purchase should arrive quickly (within the week), however, some products are made to order and could possibly take up to three weeks to arrive.
